All self-pay patients are asked to pay for charges on the day of service. When charges are paid in full at time of service a discount will be offered to offset the total fee.

If you are unable to pay for the charges in full on the day of service a deposit of $350.00 is required before being seen by our providers as well as signing a Financial Agreement establishing a monthly payment for the remainder of the balance and any future charges. You may forego the day of service discount with the monthly payment option.

If you are having surgery, you will be expected to make mutually agreeable payment arrangements prior to having surgery. The remaining, 50% will be set up as monthly payments.

Orthopaedic Associates of Wausau (OAW) is an independent private practice. While many of our patients utilize Aspirus Wausau Hospital and can take advantage of their Community Care Program, this program does not extend to independent clinics. Therefore, OAW's self-pay policy is applied to our charges.

If you have applied for health insurance but have not been found eligible, you would be considered self-pay until you can prove eligibility for insurance.

Auto Insurance/Third Party Liability:

In some circumstance Orthopaedic Associates may initially bill auto insurance or third party liability insurance. In the event that the claims are not paid in a timely manner or the benefits have been exhausted, you are responsible for payment of these charges. Our office will not hold theses charge until the claim is settled.

For your convenience, we accept Visa and Master Card.
