Faruk “Rick” S. Abuzzahab, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Abuzzahab (Rick) completed his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering before completing medical school at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He did his internship and residency at University of Rochester in Rochester, New York and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Rick has been with Orthopaedic Associates since 2005 and specializes in total joint replacement (hip and knee), arthroscopic surgery (shoulder and knee), ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, carpal tunnel syndrome, sports medicine, fracture care, trauma, and workers’ compensation injuries.

Rick was born in Minnesota and enjoys traveling, cooking, and sailing.
