Jamie R. Lyons, PA-C

“It’s important to me to help you return to the things you are passionate about.”

Jamie, a native of Wausau, received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA after completing her undergraduate degree at UW-Madison.

“I decided to go into medicine after realizing how much I like helping people during my year of community service with AmeriCorps NCCC. I especially like orthotrauma because I love outdoor adventures and understand how important it is to get back to the hobbies and activities you love. I understand that there is never a good time to get hurt and I want to focus on getting you back on your feet as quickly and safely as we can. As a Physician Assistant, I work closely with our surgeons as part of the orthopaedic team to help you get quality, caring and timely treatment.”

After working in Norfolk for 6 years, Jamie returned to Wausau and joined Orthopaedic Associates of Wausau in 2018. In addition to general orthopaedics, Jamie is especially interested in bone health and the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. In her personal time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, and travel.
